xPlore full-text search working in xPlore not in AX

After setting up full-text indexing for an AX application it was discovered that you can obtain results from xPlore, but not from the full-text search in AX.  This was consistent between all AX applications and xPlore collections.

The issue is caused by the configuration file getting overwritten or not saved.  The IndexServerConfig.XML must be modified again (page 16 in the AX Index Agent Admin Guide).  Here are the required steps to modify this file and run a full-text search successfully:
  1. Stop the xPlore and AX services
  2. Modify IndexServerConfig.xml (page 16 of AX Index Agent Admin Guide)
  3. Start AX and xPlore services and wait a minute or 2
  4. Delete and re-create the collections in Dsearchadmin (if needed)
  5. Submit a test doc to FT indexing
  6. Query the app the collection in AX
